The problem
What the customer was facing
The customer needed the package set, aligned, piped up, started and handed to operators before winter conditions closed the window for outdoor work.
Inspection findings
- Foundation and anchor layout required field verification against the skid
- Suction piping as-built introduced strain at the pump flange
- Control wiring and rotation had not been verified
What IPA did
- Field survey and anchor verification before setting the skid
- Skid set, leveled and anchored
- Piping fit-up corrected to remove flange strain
- Coupling alignment performed and recorded
- Coordination with the site electrician on power and controls
Testing and verification
- Rotation check before coupling
- Initial run with vibration and bearing temperature observations
- Operator walkthrough at handover
Outcome
Result
The package was commissioned within the schedule window and turned over to site operators with alignment and startup records.
